History
Hotel Torre dei Borboni is today a magnificent Mediterranean style hotel in Ponza and it’s the only one on the island housed in a historic building, built on the remains of pre-Roman settlements. Its history is very old and traces the glories and defeats of the island, made of rich flourishing periods, and successions of emperors and pirates. Because King Ferdinand IV of Bourbon wanted to protect the Island from pirates, he erected in the eighteenth century the Ponza tower that now houses the charming Hotel Torre dei Borboni.

Our rooms are in perfect Mediterranean style, complete with warm and welcoming colors. In the old part of the Bourbon tower we still have the original furniture of the eighteenth century. The rooms offer a wonderful view of the sea and the Pontine countryside, or overlook the ruins of the villa of Emperor Augustus’ daughter.
